POVZETEK
Kultura zasedanja urbanih prostorov prek začasne uporabe ali okupacije je v Ljubljani prisotna zlasti od 1990-ih let dalje. Take oblike okupacije so sredstvo za zadovoljevanje zahtev in potreb prebivalcev, ki jih tradicionalne institucije ne obravnavajo. Zagotavljajo storitve prebivalcem Ljubljane in dodajajo vrednost mestu. Kljub temu pa se take prakse soočajo s pomanjkanjem legitimnosti zaradi svojega normativnega položaja. Njihove vrednote in obstoj so običajno predmet nenehnih bojev. Ta članek želi poudariti, da alternativne okupacije prostora v svoji raznolikosti zapolnjujejo vrzeli tam, kjer tradicionalne institucije umanjkajo.
